Kaarin earned a Fine Art degree from James Madison University in 1992. After graduating, she worked in telecommunications for a considerable time, painting only as a hobby. She chose to refocus my career goals towards art after the birth of her first child, and continued studying art with some wonderful local artists both privately and at Loudoun Academy of the Arts. Her work is now found in private collections in the United States and abroad. A a founding member of a progressive art group, The Night of the Radish, Kaarin participates in both the Catoctin Holiday Art Tour and the Western Loudoun Artist Studio Tour annually.
