Got a Great Idea? Get Funding through the NEW artShare Grant Program
Do you have an idea, vision or work in progress that would bring attention to the value of the arts in Loudoun County? Would you like to pursue an innovative project that just doesn’t “fit” the usual grant program award criteria? How about a way to encourage creative collaboration among local artists or arts organizations or with other community entities? Or an approach that would bring arts experiences to underserved populations or foster growth of budding talents?
The Loudoun Arts Council is pleased to announce a new artShare Grant Program, open to all LAC members — individuals, groups, and organizations — with a simplified application form and award criteria that emphasize innovation and/or creative collaborations to enrich Loudoun through the arts.
The LAC is looking for applications that propose something new, something different, something that would excite the local community within and beyond the arts.
About the new artShare grant program:
- Who can apply for an artShare grant? Applications are welcome from individuals and informal groups as well as structured organizations, and are no longer limited to organizations with non-profit status.
- What does the application require? The narrative application requests responses to only three criteria, and does not require submittal of detailed financial information.
- What are the award criteria? The new award criteria are focused on the applicant’s proposed use of the grant money, active involvement in Loudoun’s arts community, and ability to operate effectively.
- When are applications due and grant awards made? Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year, with final review and grant awards twice yearly, in January and June. Applications received before January 1 will be reviewed for January 2020 awards. Applications received before June 1 will be reviewed for June 2020 awards.

The LAC needs your help to keep this program strong.
