Tagline An Artist Recreated though life experiences
Biography or Personal Statement CarolLyn Simpson always wanted to be an Artist, but life had other ideas and the pursuit of Art went on the back burner. By the time she retired from a career in acquisition and budget fields, her life experiences, Art History studies, extensive travel and Art Museum visits, had given her a new and matured interest in being an Artist, and an Art vision that was deeply changed by her personal history. She was An Artist Recreated.

Ms. Simpson embraces a modern perspective on painting, capturing life, but on the fun and colorful edge of realism. Every work she creates is different than the last, and influenced by anything from Paleolithic Cave Art to Pop Art. Her brushwork is controlled, yet there is a looseness to per pieces, created by methodically layering, both paints and mixed media, and highlighted by her signature bold use of color.

Ms. Simpson invites you follow her on Facebook to encourage her and watch her Artistic journey, as she shares what's on her easel, personal ponderings, Art Funnies, tidbits about Art, weekly flashback photos, and more.
