Opportunities for advancing the Arts continue to swell in Loudoun. Come celebrate recent accomplishments and help shape new developments.

The Loudoun Arts Council’s Annual Meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 23rd from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Multipurpose Room at Douglass Community Center in downtown Leesburg.

The Agenda for the evening includes:

  • An update from special guest Christina Schmitt, Dean of Non-traditional Schools, Loudoun County Public Schools, who will talk about the transformative effect the Arts have had for adult learners with disabilities who are incarcerated.
  • The President’s Report on recent and future plans, including the formation of the Loudoun Arts Advisory Board, a handful of LAC Professional members who will bring their arts organizations’ experience and opinions to inform strategic and unified arts advocacy and communication efforts.
  • The Treasurer’s Report on our financial condition and outlook.
  • A Question and Answer session for those present – we want to hear your ideas!
  • Nominations and voting for new board members.

All current and prospective Loudoun Arts Council members are encouraged to attend! Douglass Community Center is located at 407 East Market Street, Leesburg, VA 20176.
