Artists are invited to draw inspiration from the views at Brambleton Town Center to compete in the juried Plein Air Paint Out on Saturday, June 8th at the Loudoun Book and Arts Festival. Participants can set up their supplies and easels at the Town Center Circle and create works of art from viewpoints of their choosing: the manicured greenery, the Town Center cityscape or an encapsulated moment among festival-goers.
Check-in for the outdoor painting competition begins at 10:30am at the Town Center Circle. (Weather contingency location for the competition will be the Brambleton Library.) Painting will conclude at 1pm and artwork will be lined up for exhibition and judging from 1p-3p.
Awards will be presented at 3pm. Top prize includes a $100 Blue Ridge Grill gift certificate, a $50 Brambleton Town Center gift certificate and an exhibition of the winning artwork at Brambleton Library Lobby for the month of June. The competition jury is comprised of established portrait and landscape artists Jordan Xu, Marcia Klioze and Donna Moseley.
