Asian Flower Pendant by Mary Kenesson
Mary Kenesson's “ma su ke” fiberart accessories and jewelry are inspired by Asian art, traditional textiles and the patterns of nature. While traveling in Europe, Asia and throughout the Americas, Mary collects beautiful fabrics, fibers, vintage buttons and odd bits that come together in her studio as unique adornments for the body and home. The finished products may represent finds from different countries and cultures each has a history of its own.
Mary is a member of the American Craft Council, the Loudoun Arts Council board and the D.C. area Veazey Street Artisans group. In Virginia, her work is sold through the Gateway Gallery in Round Hill, Live an Artful Life gallery in the Plains, the Loft gallery in Culpeper, and at the November Catoctin Holiday Art Tour and Waterford’s annual October Homes Tour & Crafts Exhibit.
