Sabina Puppo was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1968. She grew up in a family of artists and is herself the 7th generation of artists in her family. Sabina’s art education started at a very early age under the tutelage of her grandparents, and at her father’s art studio. Sabina was an active participant and helped her dad prepare canvases, mix pigments, collaborate in mixed media projects, and — under his supervision — paint sections of his artwork. Many decades have passed since those days, and now Sabina is a recognized self-taught artist in her native Uruguay. In late 2021 Sabina moved to Leesburg, in the Virginia Piedmont. She finds herself at ease in a historic countryside where rolling hills and vineyards adorn the hallowed landscape.
